The power of collective climate action is illuminated through events like New York Climate Week. Organized annually since 2009 by the non-profit Climate Group in partnership with the United Nations General Assembly, this year's Climate Week carried heightened significance after a summer marred by unmistakable signs of climate change. Amid an atmosphere charged with inspiration and determination, Mammoth Climate's co-founder, Jack Bruner, along with Head of Growth, Jacob Jackson, proudly represented our organization at this years NY Climate Week!

Exploring New York Climate Week

During each Climate Week, a diverse array of individuals leading sustainable change converges. From policy makers and government officials to academia and entrepreneurs, people from around the globe come together to showcase, collaborate, and accelerate climate action. While it might be tempting to view such events as mere illusions of progress, New York Climate Week is refreshingly honest. It acknowledges humanity's past shortcomings in addressing climate change and compels leaders to hold each other accountable for tangible change, all while maintaining an unwavering "We Can. We Will" attitude—this year's Climate Week theme.

Global action and accountability on such a scale are imperative for advancing climate action. Events like NY Climate Week also provide a global stage for individuals to advocate for our planet in front of hundreds and thousands of world leaders. Remember how Greta Thunberg captivated the world with her impassioned speech at the UN Climate Action Summit?

The Stage of Impact: presented by Doconomy and Mastercard

The Stage of Impact is a two-hour event organized by Doconomy and MasterCard, featuring prominent thought leaders, impactful entrepreneurs, businesses, and policymakers who gathered on stage to exchange their insights, solutions, and visionary ideas for a brighter future.

A recurring theme throughout this session is the role of behavioral science in driving engagement in sustainability and climate action. After all, combating climate change will require participation from everyone to make meaningful change. Discussions delve into topics such as the intent-behavior gap, the creation of digital and financial products that engage consumers in sustainability, and the mission to turn every job into a climate job.

We are honored to have participated in the discussion as part of the Sustainable Tech Company Showcase, sharing how Mammoth Climate helps businesses deliver on Net Zero plans with the same playbook that companies use to reach growth targets, ultimately focusing on engaging their workforce with education, role definition and incentive.
